Why Do I Have to Pay?
There are many AA conferences around the world. One of the most common misconceptions is that since there are AA meetings at these conventions there should be “no dues or fees”, per our Traditions.  However, the Salt River Intergroup Summer Roundup is a special event.

The Roundup requires planning, preparation and money to present.  Since the SRI Summer  Roundup is held at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Paradise Valley – Scottsdale, the Roundup must pay for the use of the hotel convention space. Other expenses include travel and lodging for speakers, printing costs, entertainment, postage and supplies. The event is fully paid for with the proceeds from individual registrations. No baskets are passed except in Marathon Meetings which require no registration to attend.
